We had the honor of hosting Mrs. Junko Akisawa, a founding member of Sputnik International Sri Lanka and a main announcer at TBS (Tokyo Broadcasting System) Japan, along with a group of Japanese medical students and their parents. They visited our Sputnik Girls' Home on October 15th. Our girls warmly welcomed them, sharing laughter and joy, before treating our Japanese guests to a delightful Sri Lankan meal. The Sri Lanka finals of the 13th KAKE Challenge Cup International Japanese Speaking Tournament was successfully held on September 28 through Zoom technology. The speech competition, which was held under the auspices of the Sri Lankan Japanese Embassy with the financial support of KAKE University, was organized and conducted by the Sputnik Japanese University in Kurunegala.
